I’m Lizzy and I am a HCPC registered psychotherapist who has worked with children, young people, adults, groups, and families for over nine years. I graduated as an art therapist from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh in 2017 and completed EMDR training in 2023 with Richman Training.
As an Art and EMDR therapist, my approach involves blending creative, body-based, and talking therapy techniques to create an approach tailored to fit each person's individual values, goals, and learning styles. I bring curiosity and empathy to understand how your patterns make sense based on how you needed adapt to your past experiences.

My Values
I believe therapy should be relational, collaborative, and transformational. I aim to work alongside people to help them feel empowered to build the insight and make they changes they need so that they can move towards a better wellbeing and live the life they want.
People of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and relationship styles are welcome in therapy with me. I am queer, non-binary, spoonie, neurodivergent, and lived experience therapist who is experienced in working with different relationship styles and members of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as their partners and families. I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds with a diverse range of difficulties in a non-pathologising way.
As a fully-qualified art psychotherapist and EMDR therapist, I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and am a member of the EMDR UK Association. To ensure that my practice is safe and effective, I adhere to their codes of guidance of conduct and code of ethics, as well as attend regular clinical supervision.
Art Therapy is a legally protected title and so to practice as an art therapist in the UK, the therapist requires a certain level of training, experience, and, to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). My HCPC registration Number is AS15955.
Please note that I currently only offer therapy services to those living in the UK, and, that I do not offer a crisis support or emergency service. In such situations, if you are living in the UK, I would recommend that you contact your GP during clinic hours; attend your local Accident & Emergency department; or dial 999 in an emergency.
